Jeff Hughes

Emeritus Professor Jeff Hughes is one of the cofounders of PainChek and serves as the Chief Scienific Officer of PainChek Ltd. He also holds an appointment within the Curtin Medical School, having previously being the Head, School of Pharmacy, Curtin University. A pharmacist by prefession, Jeff has worked in community, hospital and aged care pharmacy, as well as academia, and now industry. An active researcher with over 300 scientific and professional publications, Jeff has dedicated much of his time over the past decade to developing technology-based pain assessment tools with the aim of improving pain management in those who cannot report their pain.
